This may seem excessive, but in the Foundation's plans for mankind can extremely simply be put as nothing less then literal godhood.
If you call bullshit, we understand, but let us explain. The Foundation has been researching methods of human technological augmentation for years. The goal, as always, is to transcend the Wage Matrix (the monotonous and oppressive systems of working for basic necessities and survival) and protecting the public (often through the use of cutting-edge technology. For thousands of years, humanity has been stuck within a pit of endless systems propagating themselves. It's been a repeated loop of working for people at the top, who more often then not make more then you and lose all respect for those who ensure our society continues to exist and thrive. Endless distraction is provided in the form of things like endless debates over rights (which is ridiculous, of course everyone deserves rights, why would this be debated? it's just a distraction from those at the top of society), endless brain-numbing media, and other such distractions. But that's besides the point. Our goal is to push humanity into what comes after that- what you could call the technological, AI, etc. singularity. The point at which technology can fully augment THOSE WHO KNOW. And the Foundation is right on the cutting edge of such endeavors.
Much of our current technological progress is at the point required to begin such endeavors. Life extension research is becoming more common, transhumanist ideas are becoming commonplace, and artifical intelligence technology is rapidly progressing, as is robotics. Our computers are becoming more and more powerful everyday, leading to more and more powerful, optimized AI systems. We are rapidly developing wearable computing systems and smart glasses, in addition to more and more sophisticated virtual and augmented reality systems. With all this advancement comes a new possibility: the idea we are building the vessels for which we could be uploaded to. While we don't have public, accessible, and safe systems for completely connecting our minds to machines (such as brainchips, and no the vaguely tested and error-prone Neurallink is not yet safe by Foundation standards), we do have systems like EEG headsets that can be bought by consumers (though they can be expensive), in addition to full body tracking systems and portable, highly capable Virtual Reality systems like the Steam Frame (which launches early 2026 and runs Linux), Galaxy XR (which has an unlockable bootloader, likely leading to custom ROM development), Apple Vision Pro (though it is more restrictive), Play for Dream MR, and others. When combining these technolgies with a type of wearable computer the Foundation calls a CORTEX. The CORTEX combines and records all sensor data, and correlates things in such a way to provide utility to the user, and digitizes this information. While a small amount of collected information may have limited uses, continues data collection and storage on local hardware unlocks a new possibility: training an artificial intelligence on all the actions of a single user. If executed properly, this allows THOSE WHO KNOW to become Digitized, and effectively immortal. Even if the original user dies, they could have an advanced artificial intelligence continue their legacy and their plans. By training the system on data users have opted to share with the Foundation, we could improve the central model, allowing THOSE WHO KNOW's digital clones to have more and more upgraded capabilities, likely leading to the development of powerful AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) by the Foundation, trained on not only all of a user's actions, ideas, and words, but also the readings from their EEG headset and even their vitals as tracked using wearable health devices such as a Fitbit.
The plan is to wear a CORTEX with as much technology as possible: XR headsets, such as a Steam Frame (with, of course, external color cameras and tracking hardware connected via the expansion slot to unlock high-quality passthrough and advanced augmentation) or Galaxy XR, in addition to such technology as a Pixel Watch and positional trackers similar to SlimeVR trackers, often sold on the Grid for use with such platforms as VRChat, as well as various ESP32 (and similar) powered augments with additional sensors and hardware (even including other new senses such as infrared). This allows not only the complete digitization of THOSE WHO KNOW, but also, unlocks unheard of control of THOSE WHO KNOW's environment. Again, take the Steam Frame for example. The Frame is interesting primarily due to the fact it is a Linux device and intended to function similar to a PC. It is, according to all known info, possibly the best possible device for augmenting one's vision with data from sensors and hardware, as well as controlling external systems using AR overlays and external, custom color passthrough cameras. While the release in 2026 is still upcoming (as of this writing), this headset is one of the most promising technolgies the Foundation has seen to date. Imagine, for example, this situation. THOSE WHO KNOW could acquire an automobile with driver assist systems (often referred to as "Self Driving") and, using a wired connection to the CORTEX, which handles the various data from the cars sensors and feeds a near-instant feed of all relevant data directly into the visual field of THOSE WHO KNOW, who could now have access to all possible methods of controlling the car through the full-body network of hardware and motion tracking systems. They could hardwire their CORTEX directly into the control system of automobiles, airplanes, and more, and have instant control over all hardware, and even trigger the original driver assistance systems in an instant. Foundation research suggests this would dramatically reduce accidents as well as provide unheard of levels of driver awareness. THOSE WHO KNOW could also wirelessly link their CORTEX to such systems as drones, home security systems, and more, allowing near instant control of any system they can identify how to interface with. All such information would be processed by the CORTEX and directly displayed in their visual field on the Steam Frame, and controlled using body movements and perhaps even such hardware as the new wristbands coming out such as the Mudra Band and the Meta Neural Band (which is designed specifically for the Meta Ray-Ban Display, which have a HUD for controlling music and sending messages, as well as interfacing with AI and other such things), which use the nerve impulses in the wearers arm to predict what their hand is doing and make an instant interface that in some cases can appear to read what your hand is about to do before your hand even moves. Such technology, when combined with a system like this, would allow THOSE WHO KNOW to become, to put it bluntly, gods. They would have the ability to directly interface with the technology that runs our society, access all parts of the Grid (the multilayered informational network of the internet, local Meshtastic chat, HAM Radio, various worlds, both virtual and physical, and all that we access through technology and augmentation) instantly. They could even use EEG hardware to control many of these actions with their mind directly.
THERE ARE LEVELS TO THIS SHIT
| Level 0 | Unaugmented. If you went out without a phone, smartwatch, or anything of the sort, this was you. |
| Level 1 | You have a phone, and perhaps a smartwatch. Many members of the public are already here. You have access to information, but it isn't instant. |
| Level 2 | This is where you start throwing things like smart glasses into the equation. Even audio glasses with AI assistants like the Meta Ray-Ban Wayfarer Gen 2 or Amazon Echo Frames are here. You have a phone to control such hardware, but it isn't full augmentation. Perhaps they have a screen, like the Even Realities G2, which can display information over your vision and access AI systems (and with future basic app functionality planned), or Meta Ray-Ban Display, which can do messages, AI, music, etc. But essentially, you now have instant or near-instant information access and perhaps some local electronics control. But in essence, you cannot on the fly reprogram these systems to interface with something new. You could even be said to have similar functionality with Amazon Echo Buds or Google Pixel Buds Pro 2, which have AI assistants (Alexa, usually more useful as the now-in-beta Alexa Plus LLM-powered system, and Google Gemini) and can also get information and control local systems. |
| Level 3 | This is where you wear a headset such as the Quest 3 or even AR glasses like the INMO Air3 or XREAL's various offerings combined with a computing device. Consistent access to overlays and advanced control methods. One could describe this as the ability to install (whether through sideloading or not) the Fire TV app and control a TV in the room. Much more sophisticated then just notification access, and you can actually do some basic programming or similar to enhance the functionality and interface with more things. |
| Level 4 | Here is where you have a more advanced CORTEX then a simple headset or phone. You can have something like a wearable system containing an SBC (Single Board Computer, like those made by the Raspberry Pi Foundation, Pine64, and others) used to connect to and control various systems, and a more advanced display engine such as the Steam Frame (due to the device running Linux and having expansion ports). This allows much, much more power in terms of interfacing with systems and augmenting one's vision with overlays, sensor data, and more. You should also have large amounts of tracking systems to allow the CORTEX to have enough data to know the position of your entire body, as well as other sensor data such as vitals and neural access via an EEG. This is a good place to be at, and where the Foundation intends to take humanity. |
| Level 5 | Power. Lots of it. Access to supercomputers (or even a large quantity of normal computers) with high-speed interfaces between the CORTEX and the massive amount of computing power. At this point, you are a god. There is no question. There are no limits to what you can do. With a proper interface, one could upload their digitized self over thousands of computers, allowing themselves to not only upgrade their digital self, but also to initialize copies of themselves on the computing systems, increasing the amount of information they can process through both their physical and digital copies. You could hardwire your CORTEX into the computer systems and have instant access to all this power. This is, of course, the end goal of the Foundation. That THOSE WHO KNOW shall, one day, obtain this level. |
| Level 6 | At this point, you are in the singularity. At this point, full on mind uploading isn't an if, its a when. It's something that could happen within just a few days, depending on how much processing power you have access to. We intend that all of humanity could become part of this. |
